A haven of peace away from the multitudes!
by Colin Murphy  27 Mar 2017
The final top on a pleasant 3-summit loop, taking in Tonelagee NE, Tonelagee and this, and then descending around the pretty Lough Ouler back to Glenmacnass carpark. The summit is a rounded bump in the landscape and is unremarkable, although it is usually not visited by the Dublin Sunday walking horde, who were in such vast numbers on the summit of Tonelagee, there was almost no room left! Stoney Top was a haven of tranquility by comparison. It is marked by a small cairn of sorts. Linkback: https://mountainviews.ie/summit/100/comment/18864/
