Mullaghmore.... or less..
Context of comment:Pepe, having some jurisdiction over the addition of Local, Cultural and Historical Hills on this site, I can confirm that Mullaghmore would seems a worthy addition.
Message:This category of hills is something of a ‘catch-all’; a place to put hills that, while they do not strictly conform with the criteria (mainly height and prominence) which merit inclusion in the main lists, do still, for a whole range of reasons, seen appropriate to include. 6 hills have been added to date and the hope is that this will grow further and we invite members to submit hills they feel belong.
To semi-automate the process of suggesting new hills (and making corrections and suggestions in relation to the existing hills) we created the Proposal System Simon3 talks of. This ensures we can deal with proposed additions in a coherent way rather than react to suggestions in an ad hoc fashion. It also ensures a start is made on the gathering the necessary information for a listing.
It can be quite cumbersome at first, but I can assure you the advantages to us outweigh the disadvantages to you! I would be happy to talk you through it – leave a message for me here and I’ll get back to you by phone or email.
