More on "sperrins most southerly missing"
Context of comment:Further on the Missing Sperrin!
Message:Thanks for the report. MountainViews member madfrankie took a look at this one and on the map it appears to have a prominence of 24 metres. As we have said before one of the main things we need to check is prominence. A 419m summit must have a prominence of at least 30m to be included in MV's current lists. Otherwise we would be including things that couldn't really be called hills. One trend in newer mountain lists is to require a prominence of at least 50m however MV has been sticking to 30m

Of course on the other hand if someone goes out and measures that Slieveard has a prominence of 30m, then we would include it.

sperrins most southerly missing
Context of comment:adding of a sperrin mountain
Message:A mountain by the name of Sliveard at a hieght of 419m is missing from the Sperrin Mountains. It is close and on the same long ridge as mullaghcarn just above the village of gortnagarn outside omagh. It is known locally as rylaghy Top and if logged it would become the most southerly of the sperrin mountains.

Re Mullaghmeen
Context of comment:Suggestion that Mullaghmeen, as a county top, be included in the list of summits.
Message:We are currently preparing a revised list of summits with a number of detailed corrections and including for the first time, prominence information.

We will also be including the county tops not currently included in the existing list.

Actually there are only three of them.

Expect to see the revised list this year.

Re Foreign Mountains
Context of comment:Suggestion about a separate forum for reports on summits outside Ireland.
Message:Sure, put reports into the General Forum.
I'll put a separate forum when there appears to be some demand for it, as this would be a great idea.

RSS & browser integration
Context of comment:RSS feed is not displayed with the URL in browsers.
Message:By adding a code in header, browsers could find and display the RSS logo near the URL. Here is a sample of code you could use for thatin "head" section.
Argh, you filter too much, I cannot write it (see for example the end of this page for a sample code : http://www.labnol.org/internet/create-rss-feed-for-websites/5470/)

RSS feed
Context of comment:Light on changes or news with RSS feed.
Message:A RSS feed could be a useful add-on for Mountain Views website. It could contain only a list of the last 5 posts title and the name of the author, for example.

Larger Pictures.
Context of comment:Size of pictures for upload with comments.
Message:It's now possible to upload larger pictures for your summit comments. Although the max width stays the same at 600 pixels, previously the maximum of the sum of height and width was 850, now it is 1050 which means that you can upload pictures of 600 by 450.
