Ben Nevis by car 1911
Great video of a safe trip in a car to the top of Ben Nevis in 1911 can be seen on http://player.bfi.org.uk/film/watch-motoring-over-ben-nevis-1911/ No doubt this sort of thing would be banned now, but there is a story that someone carried a piano to the top and buried it there.
