The 4 day Inca Trail -66,600 views
The annual gathering of the great and the good of Irish hillwalking will take place on Friday February 20th at 8pm in The Lansdowne Hotel, Ballsbridge, Dublin 4. All kinds of accolades and prizes are dispensed with considerable abandon, but our Oscars have not, to date, included an award for the greatest International Success by Irish hillwalking filmakers. Well that prize must surely go Martin Critchley and Sharron Schwartz for their hugely successful YouTube piece:

The 4 day Inca Trail trek to Machu Picchu, Peru

The film has been viewed (as of January 2015) over 66,600 times which is a phenomenal achievement. I have two grown up boys (men really) who are planning to walk that route so I directed them to the film immediately and was bursting with pride that I have "hung out"with the directors, actors and crew on many occasions. The lads were impressed. Well done Sharron and Martin. Take a bow.
