Thanks for the suggestions. Some lower more accessible summits would indeed be welcome as otherwise trips to the Pyrenees tend to be valley - col - valley affairs.

If anyone is abroad and wants to share their route, you can do it through the MountainViews track facility.
For example I uploaded some 10 tracks for the Pyrenees last year (mostly on the Spanish side). You can access them by going to View All Tracks and then searching for Pyrenees. Here was one for example: http://mountainviews.ie/track/2269/

The photo shows the Circo de Carriata in the Ordesa Valley with this impossible looking peak to the left. In reality there is rough track leading around the top of the cirque from the right and on the peak, Tozal del Mallo. The walk starts from Pradero de Oresa which is a national park with a handy bar to finish your day in style. (Track 2275 for more)
