Necessity, Dunkerrons and All That
Many thanks to Simon3 and Conor74 for all Dunkerrons pointers and advice. I suspect that Cloonaghlin, if the weather permitted, might turn out to be a very nice walk indeed, particularly having regard to the lakes and the sea nearby. I tend to save those walks for summer days when you can take as long as you like, and the conditions are optimal.
It did my morale no end of good to read Simon's piece "Necessity" meaning that I am not alone in having to struggle to get out on the hills the odd time. My only lingering concern is that I am not as fit as Simon, and will burn out long before he does. As for the expression of sorrow that remarks might be misinterpreted, let me say that I took no umbrage, but I do enjoy an opportunity to rant on a bit
