Trip to Beara
Asked a couple of Glengarriff friends today and was told that while the hostel should be open this summer anyway, they weren't sure if it's open yet. So maybe try during the week. They said there's a chemist downstairs so if you can't get through maybe they'd know.

They also suggested that the hotels in Glengarriff like Casey's may have pretty good rates for a few days this time of year, they may do a good deal for a few days stay so maybe email them. Glengarriff is beautiful...but it's a quiet spot midweek.

And don't forget Dursey! You may go to many places, but not many where an island is linked by cable car.
