"When we add up all those inches..,
...that's gonna make the xxxxxxx difference".

Okay, so it was said in the context of a film about American Football, but seems to have an application now we see new peaks added by the finest of margins. I mean 30.6? 29.991? Fair play to Jackill and Simon, suspect checking it to that detail involved a fair bit of tramping around and waiting for the results, but clearly worth it. I suspect few mountains on any list anywhere, this country or abroad, has made it because they were 0.091m within the accuracy limits!

I might ask around to see if the proposed Knocknaveacal South has any local name. Actually, on an aside, maybe it's something mv members in various areas should be generally called on to do, they can be more interesting than the "east top/far north west top" labels.

Aidand's directions are spot on. The road that looks like an entrance to a house actually leads into a forest, it is rough but manageable if you drive very slow. I drove as far as an old abandoned...

You can start at Ballaghisheen, a mountain pass V671 792. Space here for 3-4 cars. Ballaghisheen is at just over 300m so the climb to the top at around 551m is not a great strain. There is a sign ...
