Surely it's not up to MI to provide an online forum? Anyone could do this in a few hours for very little/no cost?

"too much contributor investment" sounds to me like people can't be arsed. They can't print article or photos they don't receive.

I think the reason MI funded climbing guides was because there was no one privately producing them. There has never been a shortage of walking guides so I suppose they didn't see a need to get invovled. And anyway the climbing guide are self funding.

Is there a copy of the November newsletter online? Also could you provide a link to the 'government sponsored initiative' you mention? thanks.
