Friends, Roamers, Countrymen...
Thanks to Captain Vertigo (soon to be appointed General Vertigo) for his kind comments.
I'm somewhat flattered to be mentioned alongside the likes of Hillary, Tensing, Bonnington and Meissner. I am also deeply touched by the various photoshopped tributes. Proof, if it were needed, of the artistic talent in the MVs community.
Rest assured, the peak-bagging madness will not stop here. Onwards and upwards, we will continue in our quest to conquer every mound and hillock in the country. Hail MountainViews!

More of a drive than a hike. Well worth it for the views.

Aidand's directions are spot on. The road that looks like an entrance to a house actually leads into a forest, it is rough but manageable if you drive very slow. I drove as far as an old abandoned...

Knocknacusha: There and back again

You can start at Ballaghisheen, a mountain pass V671 792. Space here for 3-4 cars. Ballaghisheen is at just over 300m so the climb to the top at around 551m is not a great strain. There is a sign ...
