Islands of Adventure 2?
Jackill, I was thinking of some of the remote islands off the Kerry coast including the unclimbed Inishtooskert (172m) and Inishnabro (175); An Tiaracht might be doable provided there are no access issues? Simon3 reliably informs me that there is a very fine B&B in the Maharees (with which you are apparently familiarÖ) that run a training school for diving instructors. They have boats and would be prepared to take a group of 10 or so out to various islands. All this is, of course, weather dependent and I would suggest organising this over a weekend so that some on land summits/routes can be lined up if conditions do not allow us to set sail on the allotted day (ideas for routes in the vicinity most welcome). Time wise, perhaps mid-late July or early August would be good? So, letís see who is interested and what dates suit and we can try and get something arranged. This really is the only cost effective way of bagging those remote offshore peaks and lastís yearís trip was such fun!

Carronadavderg: Very unremarkable.
TommyV a few minutes ago.
Not much to add to the comments here except that there appears to be some maintenance work being carried out on the access road so there is a mound of gravel at the access gate so parking is a bit...

Eamonoc's directions are spot on on but there is an obvious track made by a tractor so following this will also take you close to the summit. It's a lovely little walk but very obviously on farmla...

Benbulbin: Remarkable mountain, watch out for access.
Collaborative entry Last edit by: Peter Walker, simon3, wicklore 11 hours ago.
There have been access difficulties regarding this summit. A simple approach to Benbulbin is to start at G684 451 however some have found difficulties here. A track leads to fields below a steep, ...

Meikle Bin: Murky Scottish Hills

When you're surrounded by murk and mediocrity it doesn't take much to stand out.Meikle Bin is such a hill sitting in the more or less flat upland bog that make up most of the Campsie Hills.

A potentially brilliant mountain for walking destroyed by quadbikers; the summit cairn is surrounded by a sea of mud thanks to our considerate friends on 4 wheels. The col between Slievemaan and L...

There are quicker ways to bag Camaderry but this route is more of a day hike exploring the area. Starting at the Glendalough Youth Hostel, a great place to stay if exploring the area as from here ...
