I think it is best to simply go and decide when you are on site. I have no particular advice as to which side or indeed centre of the gully for the climb. As I said previously it is relatively short and not too difficult. With regard to similar routes elsewhere in the Mournes none come to mind. There are many well documented rock climbing routes but these are "off limits" to most hill walkers and would require special equipment and know how.
