Hillwalking on Achill Island with kids?
Hello, were coming from Belgium to Achill in August. We have been in Achill before but we would like to do some nice hillwalking. I was wondering if climbing up to Croaghaun Mountain is a good idea with kids (8y, 10y, 12y) and a dad who is not the best walker on steep sides? Is there a way that doesn't include dangerous paths?

Is Bunnafreva Lake a viable option?

Are there any other suggestions that are easily done with kids (save) and that provide great views?

A couple of pics from a frigid hike up Slievenamon that continued on to the NE top, Sheegouna.Amazing how even the most unremarkable hills are transformed by the white stuff.
