Missing mountains?
Am I mistaken in thinking that the third Sugarloaf in Wicklow (after the Great and the Little), at S 968 965 approx., has not been included in the list of tops for Dublin/Wicklow? Although it might perhaps be seen as an extension southwards of its neighbour, Lobawn, at 552m it is 84m lower than that summit and from most angles stands out as a separate top. The OS map definitely gives it as a distinct summit and in walkers' guides, too, it is given separate mention. David Herman, in his walks for the "East and South", links it up with Church Mountain. I was also wondering about Camara Hill (S 997 924 approx.). It is only 480m in height and might even be seen as a spur of Lugnaquillia, but again, it is a named top in the OS map, and is included as such, for example, in Herman's "Circuit of Imaal" in the above-mentioned guide.
First of all, than.. by Alex92   (Show all posts)
