DON'T SCARPER FROM THE SCARPAS
Conor - I would be less circumspect than The Jackill. The Scarpas are the uniform of Munroists in Scotland. I don't know this particular model but anything following the Scarpa Attack is as good as it gets. They are not full 4 season boots but wil take flexible crampons - if you need tyhem, which is not often. The semi-rigid shank will loosen a tad with wear. I find the Meindls a bit wide and the Scarpas much snugger - although that is all a personal preference thing. Were I advising, with an open playing field, I would highly recommend also any of the new Brashers esp the one-piece leather jobs. However if my life depended on it and my purse could stretch to it - neither of which apply - I would go for the Scarpas.

No excuse not to come over here for a peek if you are at Truskmore, so that's what we did and it's worth it for the extra view.
