the Scapas are a mountaineering boot and will take a crampon, also seem to have less stitching which anecdotely would suggest better waterproofng, in reality I wonder how much difference that makes these days.
The Meindls are not crampon compatible and are more for hillwalking.
I would also point out the weight of 1750g for scarpa and 560g for meindl.
That is significant.
If it were me I would get the Meindls for general hillwalking and pick up a pair of mountaineering boots later |
