Access Issues
Hi There,
This is my first post. Is anyone interested in the thorny old question of access and why Ireland (north and south) is lagging so far behind the rest of Europe in terms of providing a legal framework that protects the right of access to the countryside?

Does anyone think this is a problem? Is there anything we can do? Do groups such as KIO help or hinder the situation? Is it holding back our rural economy and our tourism sector? How could political momentum be built that would make the governments pass legislation to secure the right to walk the Irish countryside?

I have my own views, but I am really interested to hear what everyone else thinks.

Cheers, JB
