MountainViews speaking event - 25th February
MountainViews.ie, in conjunction with the Walkers Association of Ireland, is holding its second annual speaking event on February 25th in Dublin. Guest speakers include Gavin Bate, Everest expedition leader and adventurer, as well as Simon Stewart and several other MountainViews members who will talk on a variety of hill related topics. It is taking place in the Bewleys Hotel, Leopardstown, Dublin 18, and registration is at 7pm. Entry is 5 euro per person. Places are limited so please arrive early to avoid disappointment. You can also pre-book by emailing secretary@mountainviews.ie. However there are a limited number of pre-booking places so ensure you get your name down early!

This is an opportunity to meet other MountainViews members and enjoy an evening of interesting talks. There will be plenty of opportunity to mix and chat during the evening. The annual MountainViews awards ceremony will also take place where MountainViews recognises and awards those who have completed various categories of lists which are available on MountainViews.ie, or who have contributed to the development of MountainViews.ie. More details about the event can be found in the MountainViews newsletter. I hope many members will consider coming along to support this annual gathering of MountainViews members, run in conjunction with the Walkers Association of Ireland. Remember you can book a place by emailing secretary@mountainviews.ie but do hurry as places are limited! And remember - this is the day of the General Election so plan your voting so it doesnt get in the way of you getting to this great event!
