ONCE IN VERY HOT WATER
A squillion years later and Vulcan has lost none of his appeal. I am delighted to say. From the moment a boy child opens his eyes, the two most important things are dinosaurs and volcanoes. My own son insisted on giving me endless books on the subjects right up to the time girls obscured his vision. All Vulcan's progeny in Ireland already mentioned are fab although my faves are Richly's NE Irish still warm contenders. Up until now of course we have missed the most dramatic and fascinating of all - possibly. Ailsa Craig in the Irish Sea. Paddy's Milestone. History, geography, politics, sport. Famous for them all and just amazing to look at. Must have been great at the time - pre-cooked lobsters and all.
