"Already know you that which you need..."
If we are planning on climbing a gully such as the North or South Prison on Lug, then we would carry our G12 (Grivel) crampons and ice axes in our rucksacks and wear our snowshoes on the walk in. At the start of the climb we attach the snowshoes to the back of our rucksacks with a couple of elastic straps with hooks. You can get special tote bags for carrying them, but we haven't bothered buying these. An aggressive crampon unit as I understand it refers to one with a large stainless steel central crampon and toe and heel crampons for maximum traction.

The Ascent are not really made for climbing ridges or gullies or for use on very icy ground. Trying to descend over such terrain in snowshoes can be dangerous so when we encounter large and consistent patches of ice we always change into our crampons. We were up on Lug where there's been a big dump of snow in our snowshoes yesterday and had a cracking day out. So buy them you must Master Weedavie!
