simon3 completes the County Tops
I had the pleasure of accompanying simon3 and osullivanm on a walk over Dart and Sawel on Fri. 10 Sept 2010 when simon3 completed the last two summits/high points on his County Tops list. In spite of dire weather forecasts earlier in the week and a night of heavy and constant rain the walking conditions could not have been better. Although I had prepared him for the boggy conditions we would experience on the walk his view at the end was that, compared to Conavalla in Wicklow, the underfoot conditions were really relatively good! From the top in a complete sweep around we were able to pick out the Mournes, Divis, Lough Neagh, Slemish and Knocklayd in the Antrim Hills, Benbradagh, Binevenagh and across the Foyle the high moumtains on Inishowen. Further W were Muckish and Errigal and we even had a slight outline of the Bluestacks. A fine day and a fine way to complete the County Tops. Many congratulations to simon3
