Re GPS Track Mapping
There's many interesting interfaces out there for showing routes. We hope to come up with our own way of including GPS logs. To me the biggest difficulty with the Virtual Earth approach is that it is a fine way of recording and sharing personal walks but not a great way of producing a graded introduction to an area. There is is no social feedback to grade contributions so any old rubbish with any old collection of snaps gets equal priority with well researched and illustrated comments.

Another difficulty with Virtual Earth (Google Earth/ Google Maps) is that you tend to get stuck with feet and miles and WGS84 Lat/ Lon. Instead of the units that are mostly used here metres, km, and national Grid Refs.
