GPS Maps
Padodes, I could not get a decent screen capture from my Garmin because of the limitations of my camera. However I have posted some screenshots from a MapSource capture on the following site; http://www.johnos37.utvinternet.com/index.htm. These should give you an idea of the what you are likely to see on the Garmin. If there is sufficient interest and I get some time over the coming weeks I will try and put together a tutorial on the process of creating these maps.

Fananierin: The best views for least effort.

In view of the COVID-19 warnings, this is an out of the way route that hopefully provides plenty of solitude. On a clear day it provides some of the best views to be had in Wicklow. The only point ...

Ballyteige: The trees are back

The last 100m of the hill is young trees planted on old forest. You will have to negotiate piles of rotting wood, no path, spiky firs, boggy bits, trenches etc to get to the top. Great views but t...
