Rainbow High!
While reviewing mountains in Kerry in preparation for a holiday down there next week I came across a posting by a member (can't remember name or to which mountain the comment pertained) who lamented the fact that he did not take a picture of a companion who was captured within a circular rainbow - a fairly rare phenomenon to spot by all accounts. Well here's a picture taken a few weeks ago very early in the morning (shortly after 7 a.m) just above the col between Croaghbarnes & Croaghbane which shows the shadow of yours truly captured perfectly within a circular rainbow. My first time to see one. Guess, it's about as close to sainthood as I'll ever get methinks! (Apologies for standard of photograph which does not do justice to the vibrancy of the rainbow's colours at the time - expanding may help)
