Slew Malora
Aha Señor Jackill! Your ingenious etymology is an intriguing diversion.... I take Malora to mean 'evil hour' in Spanish or some other Romance language, though JJ might have had just about anything in mind. The Irish for curse would be 'mallacht', which does appear in Irish placenames alright: Ballinamallard, Co. Fermanagh is Béal Atha na Mallacht, "ford mouth of the curses" (not mallards). Slew Malora reminds me of Glenmalure in Wicklow, which is Gleann Maoiliúra in Irish. I think the second element is an old personal name.
