Coomloughra Horseshoe
Hi. I am returning to stay in Kerry on one of my regular visits between Oct14th and 22nd. It is my strong desire to do this walk. I have walked in the Lakes (UK) including Striding and Swirrel edge, The Dales, Pembrookshire Coast Path, South Devon Coast Path, Dartmoor, Brecon beacons etc. So it is not the navigation or fitness that puts me off but the varying tales of Beenkeragh Ridge. As the friends that I stay with are not walkers and I feel that to do my first high route foray alone would be foolhardy. I was wondering if anybody was planning the same route that I could tag along with??
I am reasonably fit and like to enjoy a day out rather than route march up and down as fast as poss I am not interested in just "ticking it off"!!
I am well equipped to provide all my own needs.
Any interest please let me know. Thanks.

A couple of pics from a frigid hike up Slievenamon that continued on to the NE top, Sheegouna.Amazing how even the most unremarkable hills are transformed by the white stuff.
