I have pondered the question posed by the good Padodes and here is my suggestion. There can be only one way to accurately represent the Irish Mountains and to truly pick an appropriate Icon to represent them. The image that we must present to the world has to be a mist or cloud shrouded anonymous flat bog. Having someone waist deep in a bog hole, with a sheep looking on would be a good addition. For good measure there could be an angry farmer wielding a stick, and a quad biker spraying dirt on the hapless photgrapher. Finally we could add a graffittied trig pillar and an empty crisp packet!
