Short stroll from mainland
by Fergalh 29 Jan 2023
Parked at A (L932 273) and strolled over bridge to island. Turned right and at B (L931 273) walked up a green lane past a orange house until i reached a T junction. Here i turned right and than crossed wall to less gorsey ground headed north 100 metres to the high point marked with a holly bush Linkback: mountainviews.ie/island/1508/comment/23822/

A paddle to Rossroe
by markmjcampion 10 Apr 2021
This island is reachable on foot despite MV indicating the contrary. However, I decided to do it via kayak. I paddled from the pier at Ross Q (L93197 28313) and headed south through choppy water to the little inlet at C (L92665 27211). Thereafter it was a short walk to the summit, large along a walled green track which is typical of so many Conemara islands. It's a little overgrown in places but for these stretches it's a matter of jumping over the wall and rejoining the track later. Great views of the Maamturks and Ceantar na hOileain.
