Summary
for Lenadoon Point (Gob Léana Dúna):
Huge panorama on geologically interesting shoreline.
Summary created by simon3

This is point with a very large panorama at the north east mouth of Killala Bay. There is an old signal tower there once put there for military reasons and then later for commercial shipping purposes.
The shoreline is fascinating, being limestone with numerous fossils embedded in it.
It is possible to reach it from a road end at Lenadoon (G324 387) where there is parking for 3 or 4 cars. Most of the trip to the point can be done on the coastline.
