Bardwell, Sandra, Helen Fairbairn & Gareth McCorma Walking in Ireland
Publisher: Lonely Planet Published: 1999 Last revision: 2003 Added by john_desmond
This book has the typical look and feel of the Lonly Planet travel guides. There is a lot of info (in small print) packed into the 370 or so pages. There are roughly 90 walks listed, most of them are on mountains. Everything from Howth to Carrauntoohil. Many of the walks have alternative routes listed so the overall number of walks is even higher. At about 23 Euro, it is not a cheap book but there is so much info in it, that I feel it is of value. As it covers all of Ireland, it may be of particular use if you are visiting an area that you are not familiar with.

Slieve Commedagh: View from the south above several tops.

There's a long ridge from Slievenagloch to Slieve Commedagh. Seen here is one view of part of the ridge with the summit area just peeping above Slievelamagan.
