A small little book that lists all the 610 mtr peaks in Ireland (with a 30 m drop all round) and all peaks that have a drop of at least 150 metres on all sides. Some notes on some peaks, no pictures. About 50 pages in all. No description of routes, just a big list of peaks, heights and OS references.

The book lists 211 peaks over 610 mtrs with a 30 m drop all round. As for the high points with the 150 mtr drop all round, there are 453 of them. It also lists those that very nearly made it or where a bit of dispute might arise. The best part of the book I think is the comment section. For
example, take Seefin on the Ballyhouras.
His comment reads...... "Seefin Mountain, Ballyarthur Hill: Seefin Mountain (just Seefin in HM, P154) is the highest point in the Ballyhouras, with a TV mast on a lower 518m top. 1:250k Holiday Map S shows Ballyhoura Way passing N of Marilyn summit. Ballyarthur Hill was named Lisnalanniv Hill on 1/2" OS22, only aquiring the new name on publication of OS73, the last of the new maps to appear before this booklet went to press."
I'm sure you get the idea. Its interesting when it comes to peaks that are not named on the Discovery maps. The author really seems to have put a lot of work into it. In total, he has comments on 350 different peaks. By the way, the ISBN of the book is 0 9522680 8 6
