This book has the typical look and feel of the Lonly Planet travel guides. There is a lot of info (in small print) packed into the 370 or so pages. There are roughly 90 walks listed, most of them are on mountains. Everything from Howth to Carrauntoohil. Many of the walks have alternative routes listed so the overall number of walks is even higher. At about 23 Euro, it is not a cheap book but there is so much info in it, that I feel it is of value. As it covers all of Ireland, it may be of particular use if you are visiting an area that you are not familiar with. |
