conormcbandon: Track 3268 in area near Aghalion Hill, North Midlands (Ireland)
Do not follow my route as shown!!!
Length: 1.6km, Creator time taken: 40m01s, Ascent: 68m,
Descent: 64m

Places: Start at N54949 88766, Aghalion Hill, end at Start
Logged as completed by 1
Seeing cattle in the field on the route as described by sandman I thought I'd be really smart and climb from the road as shown. Seeing that there was an impassible amount of furze/gorse I skirted around and onto a farm road. Seeing a cow track upwards through the vegetation I followed it. Big mistake! My route upwards became extremely difficult. Anyway I reached the trig and descended very easily once I had a better idea of the terrain. It would be fine to follow the return leg of my trip and there is room for one car at the farm/forest road entrance.

To download GPS tracks you must be enrolled and logged in. See "Login or enrol", top right - quick and easy.

Note: ALL information such as Ascent, Length and Creator time taken etc should be regarded as approximate. The creator's comments are opinions and may not be accurate or still correct.
Your time to complete will depend on your speed plus break time and your mode of transport. For walkers: Naismith's rule, a rough and often inaccurate estimate, suggests a time of 0h 26m + time stopped for breaks
Note: It is up to you to ensure that your route is appropriate for you and your party to follow bearing in mind all factors such as safety, weather conditions, experience and access permission.
