simon3: Track 2540 in area near Knockalla, Donegal NW (Ireland)
Direct route from Meentagh to the SE.
Length: 4.1km, Creator time taken: 1h43m, Ascent: 246m,
Descent: 261m

Places: Start at C24507 33559, Knockalla, end at Start
Logged as completed by 1
This route ascends the better of the two tracks which goes up to the Knockalla Loughs. The track extends further than is shown on the OS 1:50000 map. For variety it is possible to go directly to the other track as shown over low heather (as of 2014) and then use it to reach the road.

To download GPS tracks you must be enrolled and logged in. See "Login or enrol", top right - quick and easy.

Note: ALL information such as Ascent, Length and Creator time taken etc should be regarded as approximate. The creator's comments are opinions and may not be accurate or still correct.
Your time to complete will depend on your speed plus break time and your mode of transport. For walkers: Naismith's rule, a rough and often inaccurate estimate, suggests a time of 1h 14m + time stopped for breaks
Note: It is up to you to ensure that your route is appropriate for you and your party to follow bearing in mind all factors such as safety, weather conditions, experience and access permission.
