jrpcalvert: Track 2483 in area near South Connemara (Ireland)
Western Way - Galway (almost all)
Length: 54.0km, Creator time taken: 105h36m, Ascent: 700m,
Descent: 690m

Places: Start at M11812 42706, end at L82018 62006 35km NW from Start
Logged as completed by 1
This is most of the Western Way from Oughterard to Leenane. What's missing is that it stops about 6km before Leenane at the Sleepzone Hostel. To go through to Leenane, follow the trail markers near the end. Time is off and possible to do in a day but plenty of B&Bs around. A relatively flat route so able to cover a lot of ground relatively quickly but a lot on road which won't suit some people. Possible option if mountains covered in mist.

To download GPS tracks you must be enrolled and logged in. See "Login or enrol", top right - quick and easy.

Note: ALL information such as Ascent, Length and Creator time taken etc should be regarded as approximate. The creator's comments are opinions and may not be accurate or still correct.
Your time to complete will depend on your speed plus break time and your mode of transport. For walkers: Naismith's rule, a rough and often inaccurate estimate, suggests a time of 11h 58m + time stopped for breaks
Note: It is up to you to ensure that your route is appropriate for you and your party to follow bearing in mind all factors such as safety, weather conditions, experience and access permission.
