wicklore: Track 1873 in area near Binn Doire Chláir, Twelve Bens (Ireland)
Three summits of the Twelve Bens
Length: 10.2km, Creator time taken: 5h33m, Ascent: 958m,
Descent: 954m

Places: Start at L80532 48859, Binn Doire Chláir, Binn Chorr, Binn Chorr North Top, end at Start
Logged as completed by 1
This route starts at the traditional ending point of the Glencoaghan Horseshoe. It visits Derryclare, Bencorr and Bencorr N Top before returning by the same route. It can be used by those who don't have the time or ability to complete the full circuit. It requires care due to steep and rocky ground in places. However it is easier than it looks, as from the Galway - Clifden road Derryclare looks ominously sharp. Delightful views means this walk should be kept for a clear day.

Note: ALL information such as Ascent, Length and Creator time taken etc should be regarded as approximate. The creator's comments are opinions and may not be accurate or still correct.
Your time to complete will depend on your speed plus break time and your mode of transport. For walkers: Naismith's rule, a rough and often inaccurate estimate, suggests a time of 3h 38m + time stopped for breaks
Note: It is up to you to ensure that your route is appropriate for you and your party to follow bearing in mind all factors such as safety, weather conditions, experience and access permission.
