In clear conditions it is possible to see as far as Crough Patrick. There is also a fine view of the many islands on Lough Ree. Has been called Aghalard.   Slieve Bawn is the 1247th highest place in Ireland. Slieve Bawn is the second highest point in county Roscommon.

The hill at the top of Lough Ree! Lovely views and loads of forest paths. Holy Cross next to phone mast and short muddy walk to trig. Trackback: http://mountainviews.ie/summit/991/comment/3870/
