by eflanaga  3 May 2006 The descent from Binn Dubh to a height on the col/saddle at Mám na bhFonsai 80606 52408 (Point A), below Bencorr’s North Top is reasonably straightforward albeit a little more difficult as you near the narrow area of the saddle. From here Binn Chorr’s western aspect towers upwards, it’s steep rocky side presenting a formidable façade. There is a well-worn path of loose shale and rock, which wends it’s way up in zig-zag fashion but some of us decided to take a more straight-as-the-crow-flies approach. Regardless, we still had to negotiate very loose shale/rock especially as we approached the top. Nearer still to the top we had to engage in a degree of scrambling in order to reach the cairn 81053 52376 (Point B). Views from here are again breathtaking (see Binn Chorr). From the cairn it is a short distance south to the main summit.
