Tullynasoo is a townland in the parish of Kilcoo. The name is derived from Ir. Tulaigh na Subh, 'hillock of strawberries'. The name Tullynasoo Mountain probably refers to the mountain pasture of the townland. Slievenalargy appears to be the name of the peak.   Slievenalargy is the 1199th highest place in Ireland.

Slievenalargy is one of the closest outliers to the north of the main Mourne group. For this reason it offers great views back to its higher and more majestic neighbours. In particular it offers new vistas of familiar hills, such as this photo which shows Slieve Bearnagh, Meelmore and Meelbeg. Trackback: http://mountainviews.ie/summit/971/comment/4561/
