Milane is a townland in the parish of Fanlobbus. An Maolán is given as the Irish form of the electoral ward of the same name at logainm.ie. On the Discovery map this name is given as An Meallán.   Milane Hill is the 1042th highest summit in Ireland.

Park at W1675 5065 A , which is the gated entrance road to the windfarm, room for 4 cars. Follow the windfarm road uphill passing through another gate near the top of the hill. the summit is on the higher ground to the east of the windmills.
