There is a hillfort on summit named Rathcoran and a second one to NW. The entry in PNCW for Rathcoran refers to an article on The Excavation of a Burial Cairn on Baltinglass Hill in PRIA xlvi (1941), p. 221. This makes it clear that Baltinglass Hill   Baltinglass Hill is the 869th highest summit in Ireland. Baltinglass Hill is the second most westerly summit in the Dublin/Wicklow area.

Bull-tinglass Hill!
by Dessie1  9 Jul 2012 Park at graveyard and follow track with graveyard wall on your left all the way to a gate. Then follow grazing fields (2/3 fields)which contain a very large bull(Beware!!) all the way to the summit.I kept beside the wall which leads up through the grazing fields as I was wearing a red t-shirt and would prefer to have a large amount of concrete between me and the bull if he took offence to my intrusion! Keep on the tractor tracks to avoid the gorse field.Summit has a large trig pillar and a very large stone ringfort and excellent views of Wicklows highest!
