Catch it while it's dry!
by csd  27 Jun 2010 The recent dry spell has left the area around Conavalla and Lough Firib almost completely bone dry. If you've yet to bag this summit, now's the perfect time as the views are quite magnificent, stretching from Mullaghcleevaun and Tonlagee to the north, all the way round to Lug further south. The high point is actually a small cairn on top of a peat hag, seen here with the view north.

MountainViews.ie Picture about mountain Conavalla in area Dublin/Wicklow, Ireland
Picture: Conavalla from N slope of Table Mt
by Geo  13 Sep 2009 A dull flat topped hill, with no trig point or any obvious redeeming features on the summit, save for a little cairn of stones with some peat hags as satellites. On a good day, like today Sunday 13th September 09, the ace up the sleeve of this mountain is apparent. It has magnificent views all around, and for people who don't mind industrial use of the mountains, there is a beautiful view of the Turlough Hill reservoir. Got to it from Lobawn after a pit stop on the N slope of Table Mountain. Another of the highest 100 bagged and duly logged!
