Ballyvouskill is a townland in the parish of Drishane. Any information on the correct name of this peak would be very welcome.   Ballyvouskill is the 835th highest summit in Ireland. Ballyvouskill is the most easterly summit in the Paps/Derrynasaggart area.

Fine views across the plains of Cork
Short Summary created by jackill  27 Aug 2010 From the Forest entrance at W24675 83393 (Point A),where there ia room to park 8-10 cars, follow the excellent roadway constructed for the windfarm to W24800 84080 (Point B) and then turn right down a bank onto an older track uphill, through a green gate, out to the turf cuttings. Hop the fence (look out for the fallen five stones that make up the Ballyvouskill stone circle) and cross 500 boggy meters before a slight 30 meter ascent to the cairn at the summit area.

Hop the fence and find if you can the fallen five stones that make up the Ballyvouskill stone circle. Then head down and march 500 boggy meters carefully to the cairn at the summit .
There is a truly fine view awaiting you.

Circles and Turbines
by thomas_g  10 Aug 2012 Followed Jackill's excellent directions to the top, boggy going but worth it. I see now why Jackill calls it the motorway judging by the speed the local chap with cap passed me in his 4x4.
I did find the stone circle (gate side of the fence) after a bit of bog hopping: it looks kind of odd with all the turbines on the horizon.
