A summit with a visitors book
Short Summary created by jackill  3 Aug 2012 Park at the forestry entrance at R 70274 16868 (Point A), room for 5 cars Walk along forestry tracks turning right at a Y junction and then right again at a T junction. 10-15 mtrs from this junction follow a slightly overgrown path through trees then heather to gain the summit, a distinctive, large, rocky, conglomorate outcrop which sits on old Red Sandstone. Carrigeenamronety is also of note because of the large population on the rare Killarney Fern that grows on its slopes. It is a protected species listed in the EU habitats directive and the Flora protection order of 1999
