Beware of the dog

Went to ask for permission to use the described track at the dormer bungalow, two dogs, one chained and the other loose. The loose dog seemed friendly enough and came up to sniff me with tail wagging and completely unexpectedly took a chunk out of my fingers.
No one at the house so I used a nearby field to ascend instead.
For anyone thinking of going from taurbeg to Taur, forget about it, I gave up after and hour of horrible going, best to ascend from the south with suitable permission. Trackback: http://mountainviews.ie/summit/803/comment/15059/
