Wed 3/9/2013. Went to point D as mentioned by shaunkelly, was able to drive up to the T junction at just above 300mts. Found the path and followed it uphill to open hillside and was able to see top of the mast. I did not head directly towards the mast, I followed the path keeping the forest on my left, the path petered out among some old boggy banks. keeping the forest on my left for another 100mts I arrived at a huge area of cleared mountainside and was able to make my way easily to the mast. It took me 20mins from the car to the top. Spoke to a guy driving a tractor who was clearing another huge area of mountaintop to the north of the summit. He informed that this area was to be harvested for turf. Trackback: http://mountainviews.ie/summit/800/comment/15171/
