I parked at Glendine Gap and headed first for Barcam, before heading NE to turn left onto the ridge formed by Carroll's Hill. Not quite as clear a day as peterturner had, but nice views nonetheless, especially to the SW over to Mauherslieve. Not much in the way of paths or tracks up here, so you'll get a good workout lifting your legs over the heather. I had the advantage of frozen ground; this would be a pretty miserable trek if it got any wetter underfoot. Another rounded, boggy Slieve Blooms summit ticked off the list! (Comment Rating 3.50)

I climbed Carrolls Hill from the spine of the Slieve Blooms so challenge was low, however the weather was beautiful that day and looking down into Glendossaun and Barcam valleys is quite a view. It was part of a six hour walk that I made that day and I never saw or passed a soul despite being the weekend. (Comment Rating 3.00)
