Bedrock type: Purple sandstone & siltstone, (Ballinskelligs Sandstone Formation)

A rocky arete between Carrauntoohil and Beenkeeragh. Previously Carrauntoohil Tooth in MV and then The Bones. Changed to have main name Na Cnámha in consultation with Kerry Mountain Rescue (Gerry Christie) and OSi to avoid confusion with The Bone a spur NE of Cnoc na Toinne   Na Cnámha is the 8th highest summit in Ireland.

Here's a view of the Tooth from the south, ie. on the Beenkeeragh ridge before the ascent to Carrauntoohil. It appears far more intimidating from this perspective than it does when you're coming at it from Beenkeeragh. Trackback: http://mountainviews.ie/summit/7/comment/2308/
