COMMENTS for Struicín 1 of 1
MountainViews.ie Picture about mountain Struicín in area MacGillycuddy
Picture: Strickeen to the right has views to the Reeks, left.

Viewing platform with track up.
Short Summary created by simon3,  24 Oct 2013
An obvious way to climb Strickeen is from Kate Kearney's Cottage where there is a big car park V8808 8881 A. Walk south into the Gap of Dunloe and ascend on a rough track starting at V8775 8831 B. Follow the zig zag path until you start to descend at around 400m then head west for the top.
Srickeen at 440m is a great platform for viewing and photographing both the countryside but also the east end of the Reeks and the Purple Mountain group.
It also provides an initial point on a longer walk into the Reeks. Trackback: http://mountainviews.ie/summit/656/comment/5415/
